An artistic experiment searching for sound emissions and the limit of human hearing. Composed of infrasonic material that have a lot of harmonic distortion. Humans will be able to identify tones as low as 12hz. From 1000 hz the auditory system decreases. Natural and human produced infrasonic sounds is anywhere, all the time. The artistic idea was to use background noises, signal fidelity, harmonic distortion, low-frequency in order to foster a soundscape of infrasound that travels through space. Made for project that was never released. Think somebody might enjoy or use it.

Ghost saying "they're gone. . . ". Recorded myself saying "they're gone" using a fifine k669 and edited with audacity. Lowered speed, increased pitch, reduced noise. Added distortion and echo.

I walked around the room with a broken cassette recorder and recorded sounds like radio, banging stuff around and turning on loud machines. All is speed distorted because of the recorder. I've then cut out the most interesting noises.

Simple type of riff with some flange and vibrato/noise. Low gain type of distortion. Sorta random chords type of playing which would probably work broken up into smaller sections. Gets nasty at the end.

A friend sent me an audio file that wasn't supported by windows media player. When opened in audacity, this is what it came out to be (but it was way louder. ) once i converted the original file into mp3, i was able to get the actual file, but i wanted to save this broken one too. The original file was her doing a vocal audition for me, so i posted the broken audio in wav form so no one could take it.

This sound was created off my black'n'white unfamusic waveform logo. A big (5300x1200) png image was saved as 32-bit uncompressed bmp, and then imported into audacity as raw data in stereo mode, 24-bit unsigned @ 192khz.

This is a small clip which i made playing the original video on my laptop and recording it on my cell phone. There is a noise machine on and a voice distortion tool being used and foreground dialog as well. It's the whispered dialog that is crucial in my quest for justice. Created by taking a stock sound effect of guitar plugs being pulled and distorting, reversing, stretching, looping, adding phaser, flanger, vibrato, tremolo, i can't even remember what else, like there's no tomorrow. My roland jupiter 4 with resonance cranked up and filter modulated with lfo by a very low rate. The deep basses at the end of each sweet may be great for deep dub-basses. The sweep sounds great with effects and when gated. Have fun. . .

This file demonstrates the "before" qualities of the sunset editorial library. This file had a lot of noise and distortion. It was cleaned up using izotope's rx software, then uploaded as "s27-29 chimpanzee whimper and scream. Wav" (effect #675431. ).

Incorrect rendered and untreated noisy stereo loop, unintentionally done with an amiga emulator (uae for windows). Extremely dirty and distorted sound. The unrecognizable source was the title song of "speedball 2: brutal deluxe" (developed by "the bitmap brothers", music by "nation 12"). Why does everything i upload sound like people screaming and/or chainsaws!?. Sound source is a contact mic producing feedback into various fx. The main fx used for the clip are a sirkut electronics gnarler, boss metal zone, dod grunge, and finally, a danelectro french fries auto wah. Recorded direct-to-sound card as usual. This is a sample taken from a longer piece.

While recording narration on my blue yeti microphone, the cable came loose in just such a way that it started glitching and converted everything i said into weird techno music. In the radio drama big data, it was used to represent the end of the internet. You are free to use it in any way you like, but it would be super funny if you credit it to "broke yeti" as though that is a real band and help me confuse people.

Material from a waldorf q processed in live with a waldorf dpole, the uad helios69 eq and neve compressor. Gritty low fi shifting, high frequency lfo on a bpf. Hard digital distortion effects. Highest sample rate and quality of recording for this style of effect.

The sound is going through zoom ms-70cdr. I use the "particer" reverb program. It acts like a compressor and limiter too. . . Kills the dynamics of the modular. Nice anyway - or not. . . And i use the ladik r-330 reverb too.

Electro-magnetic interference from a desktop computer, and an at&t; cordless phone handset cl82301 when held near the internal ferrite antenna on the back right of a 13-year-old boombox listening to the am broadcast band. Recorded 2 years ago so i forget where i was listening. Recorded with goldwave from line-in. You hear emi from the computer at first, then i bring the phone on standby near the radio and you hear a series of nearly pure tones. The phone comes on and you hear a distorted dial tone. I move the phone away from the radio for a few seconds and you hear the computer again, then i bring the phone near and you hear a distorted busy signal. I disconnect and the phone continues sending to the base for a few seconds so you just hear a hum, then the idle tones are heard, then the computer noise as i remove the phone.

This started out as a really long jam session with synplant and a ton of randomized lfos and midi generators. I then resampled a snippet from it, drenched it in fx, threw ableton's resonator on it, then slapped on a utility that makes resonator play chords, which were generated from splash pro's ai keyboard.

This is a short sample from a noise track i just completed. It sounds a lot like someone screaming/roaring into a microphone, but it's actually a roland juno-6 played through various fx pedals (boss metal zone, boss xtortion, boss me-30 on ring mod setting, danelectro fish & chips, and a sprinkling of various other fx pedals throughout the recording). Recorded direct to sound card.

Made by slowing down the speed of "nature ambiance",editing the pitch, and mixing it with a recording of aair conditioner, which was also edited. This sound, like everything i upload here,is completely free for anyone to use. I hope it is useful. 🎶.

This is a recording of traffic passing on a freeway. Used the voice recorder app on my samsung galaxy phone to record this. It is an android app available on google play. After recording this i downloaded it as a wav file, then uploaded it to soundtrap. Com. An online studio where you can record and create music using pre-recorded instrumental loops. Here i altered or distorted the sound of the traffic to make it a more ambient sounding loop. Giving it a drone sounding noise.

This sound has been created by modifying a voice record of about 3 minutes non-sense talk. Afterwards transformed and modified by many various effects in audacity. Sounds like an alien transmission or digital matrix, transformation kinda thingy. . Feel free to use as you like under public domain.
